Wow, we haven't had a decent winter in ages here. There used to be a national event of people racing on ice skates through all the little canals and such up north. Used to be we sat in front of the TV almost every winter to watch it. But the ice has just been too thin to skate on. Last one was in '97. That's global warming for ya.
Gosh, I made myself sad now. Damn that snow. Damn it to-- well, I guess it wouldn't stand a snowball's chance there.

we are off to a good start..."Jack" the local mountain man is telling everyone to be prepared for a tough winter...and we have a good start...it is in the 20's every morning...and this has been going on since October...brrrrrr
